EliteTHE CLASSIC STREET MACHINE
The CycleBoard Elite is our 2nd generation Elite model enhanced with new features like rear suspension for vibration absorption and a smoother ride as well as a hinging deck for battery quick swap. Custom-designed pneumatic street tires offer maximum grip enhancing stability for carving and high speed turns. Elite GEN2 also combines a 450w silent rear hub motor with upgraded hydraulic brakes for improved responsiveness. CycleBoard Elite’s intuitive 3-wheel, lean to steer design with patented linkage system (PLS) provides the ultimate experience in steering and stability putting the rider in complete control and making steering, acceleration and braking a breeze with no experience required.

Tja, was soll ich sagen? Ich habe dieses tolle Gefährt in 2017 bestellt, als US-Import, zu Zeiten, zu welchen das Thema Elektromobilität im Kleinfahrzeugbereich nicht reguliert gewesen ist. Somit stellte bis dato der Einsatz dieses Gerätes kein Problem dar. Nachdem der Gesetzgeber nun jedoch den rechtlichen Rahmen für solche Fahrzeuge spezifiziert hat, ist das Cycleboard auf deutschen Straßen nicht mehr zulässig. Aufgrund einer fehlenden Homologation wird es keine Versicherung geben, die für dieses Fahrzeug ein Versicherungskennzeichen ausstellt. Auf Nachfrage sowohl bei Cycleboard US als auch Cycleboard EU gibt es auch keine Bestrebungen, dieses in irgendeiner Art und Weise zu ändern. Scheinbar muss das Geschäft in den USA richtig gut laufen. Dabei wäre in Deutschland doch wirklich auch ein Markt da, wenn man denn wollen würde. Mein Gerät ist inzwischen auf dem Recyclinghof gelandet, nachdem der Akku sich verabschiedet hat und eine Reparatur nahezu den halben Preis eines Cycleboards Elite gekostet hätte.
